Four fundamental characteristics determine the value of a diamond.

These four diamond characteristics are known as the 4 C’s of diamonds or the diamond four C’s.

These fundamental diamond characteristics (4 C’s) are:

  • Diamond Cut
  • Diamond Colour
  • Diamond Clarity
  • Diamond Carat Weight

There are another two “C” factors which have arisen over the years; Diamond Certificate and Confidence in the vendor from whom you have purchased the diamond.
